Mr Williams Awarded £3,500 for Manual Handling Injury
Mr Williams was at work when he was instructed to lift some metal plates that turned out to be far too heavy for manual carrying.
In addition, he had not been provided with any training on manual handling up to that point. It was therefore not a job that he should have been doing without using lifting equipment.
Nevertheless, Mr Williams went ahead with the task and lifted the plates. As he did, he felt a sharp pain in his back and realised he had been injured.
It turned out that he had suffered slipped disc sciatica, which went on to cause him a significant amount of pain.
After his manual handling injury, Mr Williams felt he should obtain justice for what had happened. He found First4Lawyers after an online search and gave us a call.
During an initial conversation with our claims team, Mr Williams gave us the details of what had happened during his accident. We established that he had a strong claim, so we put him in touch with a specialist No Win No Fee solicitor who deals with accidents at work.
His solicitor agreed that he had a strong case and went on to help him claim £3,500 in compensation. It was not just the compensation that they secured for him – they also helped him obtain advance payments and got him access to a chiropractor to help aid his recovery.
Mr Williams said: “[They were] perfect. It went as they said it would with no hiccups. I would recommend them to family and friends.”
If you’ve suffered an accident that wasn’t your fault, you could be able to claim compensation to help make things right. Just give us a call, request a callback at the top of the screen or start your claim online and we’ll get in touch when it’s convenient for you.
Only pay a fee if you receive compensation
Our No Win No Fee solicitors will take a success fee from the compensation you are awarded for a successful claim in the form of a percentage of your damages. This could be up to 25% but it won't be more than that, except in cases of road traffic accidents. Changing laws mean our solicitors will now take a payment of 35% of the final compensation amount plus VAT for all road traffic accident claims.
